channel Claude Connector
channel provides its own MCP connector for Claude. Once you connect your Google account, you can ask Claude about your channel topics, campaigns, performance, subscribers, posts, trend reports, and creators, and ask it to draft new topics, campaigns, or posts.

What is the channel Claude connector?
It's channel's MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector, letting you look up your topics, campaigns, performance, and subscribers from channel directly inside a Claude conversation.
Every tool only shows the connected user's own data — admins included, no exceptions.
How to connect
- In Claude, go to Settings (Customize) > Connectors.
- Add the channel connector.
- Sign in with Google. If it's the Google account tied to an existing channel account, you'll connect to that account; if it's a new Google account, a new channel account is created automatically.
- Review what Claude will be able to do on the consent screen, then select Allow to finish connecting.
Permissions requested
- channel:read — read topics, campaigns, performance, and subscribers.
- channel:draft — create topic and campaign/post drafts.
- offline_access — stay connected without signing in again every time.
Access tokens last 1 hour and refresh tokens last 30 days, rotating on each use. Tokens are never stored in plain text — only as SHA-256 hashes.

What Claude can't do
The following stay in channel's web app, where a human reviews and acts on them directly:
- Send or schedule email campaigns
- Publish posts
- Delete topics, campaigns, posts, or anything else
- Unsubscribe people
First connection creates sample data
Connecting an empty channel account for the first time automatically creates a sample workspace: one topic, one campaign draft, two post drafts, and five @example.com subscribers labeled "예시" (sample). Sample subscribers are never emailed, and it's safe to delete all of this sample data.
Data processing
- Your Google account email and name are stored for identification.
- Connection tokens are stored only as SHA-256 hashes, never in plain text.
- Tool-call records (when a tool was called, which tool) are kept.
- Access ends when you disconnect, or automatically when the refresh token expires after 30 days of inactivity.
See the privacy policy for details.
Disconnecting
- channel web > Settings > "Claude 연결" (Claude connection) > disconnect — this revokes every token issued to Claude.
- Or remove the channel connector from Claude.
